  I take my breakfast seriously.  Like, very seriously.  Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day, with sweets, obvi, coming in each other.  If you asked my family what my "specialty" is in the kitchen, it would be breakfast.

  Buttermilk is the secret ingredient for pancakes.  In my time I had millions of pancakes and tried many pancake dishes.  The best of them they were made with buttermilk.  The trick is to add vinegar to milk to make your buttermilk and while this is an adequate option, I think the real thing is better.  But honestly, use what you have on hand.  I use buttermilk for a lot of dishes such as Buttermilk Oven Fried Chicken and Chicken Fried Steak.
